What we do
Soquilichi Rescue Ranch (SRR) is a compassionate not-for-profit, no-kill charity registered with the ACNC (Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission). We are proud to be recognized as a DGR (Deductible Gift Recipient), ensuring that donations are tax-deductible.
Our mission is to save animals from deathrow, as well as rescue neglected, abused, and unwanted pets. Though small in size, our hearts and intentions are boundless. In the past year alone, we have saved a staggering number of animals from the brink.
At SRR, we operate with a dedicated team of animal-loving volunteers. No income is paid to anyone within our charity. Our sole focus is on saving lives and giving animals a chance at a brighter future.
Our current priority lies in rescuing unwanted adult cats, kittens, and pregnant felines. It's disheartening to witness the number of animals awaiting their fate, sometimes as many as 60 on deathrow. SRR remains active in the rescue community, working tirelessly around the clock to find ways to provide these innocent souls with the lives they deserve.
Every animal that comes under our care receives comprehensive veterinary work prior to adoption, ensuring their health and well-being. In the case of kittens who haven't reached the required weight for desexing, they are released for adoption under the condition that they return for the procedure, which is included in the adoption fee and contract.
Once animals come to SRR, they are placed with dedicated foster carers in a secure indoor environment. These foster carers provide them with ample opportunities to reintegrate into family life. They shower them with love as if they were their own, often shedding tears when the time comes to say goodbye. There's a mix of sadness for parting ways and happiness knowing that a small life has been saved and will thrive with a loving family. This aspect of our operations holds great significance to Soquilichi Rescue Ranch.
